International Picnic Day

Join millions across the world in celebrating this day dedicated to picnicking! We love the idea of a country-themed picnic: imagine a classic French picnic in the grass, with crusty baguettes, brie and roast chicken; a British day of cricket and lawn croquet with a spread of scones, sausage rolls, and fruit tarts; or a Swedish mid-summer picnic of gravlax, shrimp salad, and luscious strawberry cake. We could go on endlessly with suggestions and themes, but the beauty of a picnic is that it is organic, relaxed, and personal. Celebrate as simply or elaborately as you like, with food you love and people who make you happy.

Earth Day 2023

What better way to celebrate Mother Earth than with an eco-friendly picnic? Whether it caps off a morning of beach cleaning or serves as the highlight of a nature walk, we encourage you to venture into the outdoors and remember what we are all fighting for.

BAYNANZA

Ballyhoo Media is proud to co-host the Morningside Park Baynanza 2023 location with Miami Dade County, Miami Waterkeeper, and the International SeaKeepers Society. By registering here, you are joining Ballyhoo Media’s group of volunteers at the Morningside Park site for Baynanza 2023!

Baynanza is a celebration of Biscayne Bay and its significance as one of the most important ecological systems in South Florida. Traditionally celebrated throughout March and April, Baynanza culminates with the Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day, where thousands of volunteers join together to help clean up our bay’s shoreline. Since Baynanza's beginning in 1982, volunteers have helped remove over one million pounds of trash from Biscayne Bay.

Remember to wear closed-toe shoes (tennis-type shoes) and bring gloves, water, trash bags and snacks for you and any volunteers in your party.
